Roasted Pumpkin Seeds // A Recipe

The kids and I made these for the first time the other night, and they were so good! Everyone loved them and thought they tasted like popcorn. I think I'd even cut down on the salt next time, but they were some pretty tasty seeds.


- 1 1/2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt (I used garlic salt)


Wash and dry pumpkin seeds. (You can boil the seeds in salted water for 20 minutes, and then lay out to dry.) Make sure to dry for several hours or even overnight. Toss seeds in a bowl with melted butter, olive oil and salt. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
