2015. A new year. A new plan.
2pm is the magic time around here. I grab my Bible, my phone, my Bubba cup of water, leftovers from the fridge for a late lunch and head out the door. Connor's buckled in his car seat in the back, content with his LeapFrog computer and video (at least for a little while). And we find our spot in the carpool line and just rest.
Sometimes Connor takes a nap (which he never does at home), sometimes he snacks or plays quietly. Either way, this is my quiet time. A time to be still. A time to grow and listen to God. A time to pray for my husband and kids (and myself) before the crazy begins.
Thanks to the #SheReadsTruth app on my phone, I'm staying on track to read through the Bible in a year, and it's been such a great start to my year. In a year of church moves, upcoming house moves...a lot of unsettling and change heading our way, this is what I'm going to cling to. The strong, the steady, the constant in my life.
The God who never changes. And the sweet time we share.
