Jacob's Final Swim Lesson

Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do! Summer has just flown on by, and the last place I've wanted to be is on the computer. We went on our vacation to Florida in July, came home and enjoyed the rest of the summer for two weeks, drove to Ohio to visit family for 4-5 days - coming home just in time to get registered for school the next morning and get ready for the first day of school two days later! It's been a whirlwind of a month, to say the least. :)

One thing that kept us busy during our two-week interlude at home (besides doctor's appointments, family trips to Nashville Shores, recovering from strep and back-to-school shopping) was Jacob's swim lessons. This was his last year in Level 5, and it was definitely the hardest. This level focuses mostly on stroke refinement, so Ms. Sue and the lifeguards worked the kids pretty hard. Jake wasn't thrilled about it this year, but he kept a good attitude and really made us proud!

His final two assessments (a few strokes he had to redo):

After completing five different levels at Ms. Sue's + the American Red Cross swimming program (something he's been doing since he was a baby), this dude is now an official swimmer. So happy for our new swim graduate - I know he'll be happy for the newfound freedom in his summers, too!
