Here's what our Christmas memories this year were full of:
A pre-Christmas date night. At a restaurant. Eating a glorious dinner. Just us. Thank.you.Lord. (Crazy selfies, Christmas shopping and light-gazing included.)
Holiday parties at school.
Mailing out family Christmas cards.
Christmas concert at church with a kiddie train, ice skating rink, sledding hill and more. The kids had so much fun.
Christmas celebration with the Cianci side at Grammy and Papa's.
Gingerbread house-making with the kids on Christmas Eve Day. One of our favorite traditions.
Christmas Eve service at church with Scot's parents.
The kids gathered around to read the Christmas story.
Pastor Pete and his family, along with the staff and their families, came up on stage to thank the church family for their faithfulness and to sing "O Holy Night" while lighting our candles. With tears streaming down my face, I felt peace, love and joy like never before.
Opening one present on Christmas Eve. New jammies!
Reading the Christmas story in The Advent Book and praying together as a family.
Setting out milk and cookies for Santa.
And before we knew it, Santa came! (By 9:30pm, the earliest time yet.)
And we relaxed in front of our faux fireplace, tissue box in hand. (I was already sick with strep.)
Christmas Day pics to come...
