Breakfast Casserole // A Recipe

Such a great treat for breakfast - my hubby's favorite!

*Make this ahead the night before to let the Breakfast Casserole set.


- 6 slices crust-less white bread
- 1 lb. mild sausage
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 5 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 pint half and half


Line a 9x13 greased baking pan with bread slices. Cook sausage in skillet and drain. In a large bowl, combine sausage, cheese, eggs and half and half; mix well. Pour mixture over the bread slices, making sure all are covered evenly with the egg mixture. Spoon some of the mixture in-between the slices. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, put the pan in the preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Yield: 12 servings
