Have you ever had one of these? Scot used to eat these growing up, but I had never heard of them. I made my first batch of crescent dogs for dinner the other night, and the kids loved them! Pretty close to pigs-in-a-blanket, but the cheese makes 'em even better.
- 8 hotdogs
- 2 slices cheddar cheese, cut into 4-strips each
- 1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Slit hotdogs to within 1/2-inch of ends; insert a strip of cheese into each slit. Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hotdog. Place on cookie sheet, cheese side up. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
