Here's the view as soon as you walk thru the door:
We kept the oak bunkbed and furniture from Scot's childhood - it's heavy, solid wood and that's hard to find these days. It looks a bit dark and bulky for this 10x10 room, so I wanted everything else to be light and gender-neutral. White bedding, white/silver accents and light gray on the walls was exactly what I was going for!
Gray striped curtains to match. (They're fully lined too.)
Scot bought Jake a signed print of Alabama's starting running backs from the last three national championship games. (It was custom-framed at Hobby Lobby.) Jake's going to love it!
Brooklyn's hide-out space is all decked out: (complete with cubby shelves hung with 3M Command strips and glow-in-the-dark stickers)
The view at night:
Jake's artwork: (magazine holders hung on the wall with 3M Command strips)
There's double closets on the other wall.
Re-organized to accommodate an almost 11-year old boy and 5-year old girl. (Brooklyn's favorite part.)
The only wall that's left bare is this one - we'll be hanging floating shelves and a clock there eventually.
Hard to believe how different this room looks now!
Plenty of space and room to grow into. Perfect for an almost-teenage boy and little girl to share.
