Connor // 12 months

[With birthdays, the holidays and lots of sickness in our house this past month, I realized I never posted Connor's 12-month pics. So, this is only a month late...or more. Ha!]

Connor, you are 12 months old! At your 12-month well visit, you weighed in at 22 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 30.32 inches tall. You still wear size 18-month clothes and size 4 diapers. Yay!

I'm amazed at how big you are now. Just look at how you've grown and changed this year.

You are one big eating machine these days. You eat anything and everything we give you and more. In fact, you do the "more" sign even before you sit in your chair! You drink rice milk completely now and eat a variety of foods, even with your dairy allergy. With dairy-free cheese, butter and yogurt, it hasn't restricted you too much. You love to eat and I'm so glad you're that way.

You have started walking now - you took your first steps on Christmas Day! You giggle and squeal every time you walk a few steps. I think you're pretty proud of yourself. :)

You're still a good sleeper, taking two naps a day (most days) - as long as you have white noise on close by. You go to bed at 7:30 p.m. and wake up around 7 a.m., happy as can be.

You have 8 teeth now...waiting for those crummy 12-month molars any day now. [Just 3 days after writing this, all 4 of his molars popped thru!]

You open cabinets and drawers, lift up vents, pull on blinds, chew on DVD's, get food out of the pantry, pull out nail polish in the bathroom, dig thru trash, unroll toilet paper...you keep me busy, little one.

Here's what your brother and sister looked like at a year:

You love to sing (or try to). Your favorite songs are "This Little Light of Mine" and "If You're Happy and You Know It." You laugh and smile and clap while we sing. Then, you do the "more" sign before we're even finished. It's the cutest thing to watch.

You are crawling, walking, curious about everything. You love swinging in the backyard and going for walks in your red car. You are babbling and clapping, mimicking everything we do. I have to accept it - you aren't my chubby little baby anymore. You've entered this next stage of toddlerhood. As much as I miss those sweet baby days, I know I'm gonna love these wild and crazy (and exhausting) toddler days too.

Happy 12 months, Connor. I love you. xo
