Connor, you are 9 months old! You weigh 23 pounds, 6 ounces. You wear size 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.
Your pincher grasp has finally developed, so you can feed yourself snacks now. (Yay!) You love Cheerios, puffs, and rice melts, but your favorite is mum-mums. You stuff your face most of the time, so I'd say you definitely love to eat! For table food, you've tried oatmeal, bread and a little yogurt. We're crossing our fingers, hoping your milk allergy's gone by now. But, we'll see...
You figured out the sippy cup this month. No straws, just a regular sippy. You've had a little juice and water in it so far and just love it.
You have a habit of pulling and sucking on my hair when you're tired. I yank my hair out of your hands and you laugh and giggle, again and again. It's quite the game we've got going.
You like the songs "This Little Light of Mine" and "Jesus Loves Me" right before you go to sleep.
You've been teething like crazy lately, waking up 2-3 times each night for the past two weeks. Yikes!
You say da-da and ba-ba so far. You understand the words bye-bye, night-night, outside, ba-ba (bottle), eat, more and all done. You're learning some sign language too.
You love going outside and watching the cars go by.
You started crawling full-time a couple weeks ago and now you're into everything! You are especially fond of DVD's, Legos and electrical cords. We have to watch you like a hawk. You like to pull yourself up to stand while holding onto things too. I think you'll be walking in no time.
What were your brother and sister up to at this age?
At 9 months, Jacob and I were finishing up our mommy-and-me swim class at the athletic club.
And Brooklyn was cruising around all over the place...almost fully walking.
Your smile, your laugh, your joy is contagious. You are one happy baby, and we just love you to pieces. Happy 9 months, big boy!
