Semi-Girls Day

Today was our semi-girls day. Jake was away at his dad's and, after much prodding, Scot took the afternoon off to have some much-needed alone time to do whatever he wanted. (Which is very rare for him these days.) So...that left the younger two with me and we had a great day.

We met up with my friend, Crystal, and her two girls, Aubrey and Kennedy, for lunch at Chick-Fil-A. The girls played in the play area for two hours and had ice cream cones for dessert. They were in heaven!

We all packed up and headed to Hobby Lobby for supplies to make wreaths for our front doors. It was so fun shopping with a friend for a change.

We said our goodbyes and headed to the mall nearby to feed Connor in the nursing room. (They have recliners and a big abacus table so we can stretch out and relax.)

Brooklyn kept busy playing with the drawing pad on my phone.

Little mama checked in before we headed thru the mall.

One of the things on my list - new flip-flops for Brooklyn. She picked out the pink light-up ones. No surprise there.

And, since I had taken Connor to the doctor and found out he weighs a whopping 20-pounds, I realized he has entered a whole new size and has nothing to wear. So, off to Carter's we went for Connor's new clothes.

We came home around dinnertime and found Scot in the kitchen making burritos with black beans and guacamole and cheese dip galore for our own little Cinco de Mayo celebration.

A great end to this semi-girls day.
