Today was field day at Jacob's school. It started at 8 am, but the kids and I got there at 9 and stayed for a couple hours. It was in the 80's, but you would have thought it was 100-degrees with all the sweat running down my back. (Guess that's what happens when you're pushing a 20-pound baby in the stroller through the school, past the portables, over curbs and through the bumpy grass.)
The kids had fun, though, so that's all that matters.
Mrs. Muggu and the class squished together and huddled under the umbrella for a water break. It was hilarious!
This little guy was pretty popular amongst the crowd. :)
Jake was sweet and showed Brooklyn around on the playground.
They cranked up the music and the kids showed off all their cool dance moves.
Connor and Brooklyn got pretty tired, so we left when the kids took a long break over lunch.
But, we came back to school at pick-up and dropped off our end-of-the-year gifts to the teachers. I think the cherry limeades hit the spot!
Lots of games were played. Water bottles were all over the place. Kids were laughing, sweating like pigs and dumping water on each other.
I'd say it was a pretty good (and hot) field day. Now, there's just 4 days of school left!
