Connor, you are 4 months old! I just took you to the doctor and you weighed in at 17 pounds, 4 ounces (85%) and measured 26 inches tall (90%). Your head circumference is 44.5 cm (95%). In other words, you are one big boy - but we wouldn't have it any other way. You wear size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. You are growing like a weed.
You are the happiest baby, full of smiles all the time. Your smiles and joy are infectious. Any bad days turn into good ones just by looking at you.
You are already rolling over from your belly to your back. You still have a ways to go with sitting up, but we work on it every day. With you being so tall and your head so big, it's hard for you to sit up for too long. We know you'll do it in your own time, so no rush there.
You're spitting up all.the.time.
You have a little birthmark that's formed on your right cheek. And there's a cute dimple on your other cheek.
You sleep on your belly and suck your thumb or your paci. The thumb usually wins.
You have found your hands. You like to look at our faces up-close and feel our faces with your hands. You pull my hair to bring me closer to you. You love our kisses and even open your mouth to kiss us back. It's the cutest thing ever.
You love the outdoors. Sitting outside, taking walks in your stroller or even looking at the trees through our family room window.
Your favorite toys are the play mat and the swing. You didn't like the swing much as a newborn, but you have grown to love it the last few weeks. Oh, and you love to hold your new ball rattle and Buzz toy.
You go to bed at 8 pm and you're now waking up around 5 to 6 am and sometimes once during the night. I think your two bottom teeth are close to coming in and they are driving you crazy.
You just started rice cereal last week and you took to it pretty quickly. The only problem is you've been fussy and irritable all week, which isn't like you. You're not sleeping well during the day and you're waking up at night. We know you're teething, but we're not sure if you're in pain from acid reflux or if you're allergic to soy in the rice cereal on top of that. I'm going to take you to the doctor and, hopefully, we'll get it figured out this week.
What were your siblings up to at this age?
At 4 months, Jacob was celebrating his first Christmas. (Man, do I look young.)
And Brooklyn was celebrating her first Easter.
We love you, sweet boy! We're so glad you're a part of our family. Our little chunky monkey.
