At 6:30 am, he looked a little tired but he was happy to get new goggles and eat some donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast.
I made him a special packed lunch. Then, I baked a white cake with chocolate icing (Jake's favorite) and brought it to share with his class at school.
The kids enjoyed Jacob's birthday treat during recess at the end of the day.
Jake was a good brother and played with his little sis on the playground.
After swim lessons, we had a special birthday dinner of chocolate chip pancakes and bacon complete with strawberries and bananas on top.
My birthday boy is officially 9!
We ate dinner, then opened gifts.
He enjoyed playing with his new stuff before bed.
It was a great day. And a great birthday.
Now, my oldest is 9. His last year in the single digits. Wow, time sure flies by fast.
Jacob, we're so proud of the little man that you are and the young man you will become. You are a great son, a great big brother and a great man of God. We love you. Happy 9th Birthday!
