Christmas {2010}

We woke up to a special little someone coming in to our bed early Christmas morning. Surprisingly, we all slept until 9am. Just the three of us, since Jake was at his dad's house for Christmas this year.

We read the Christmas story and the last day of The Advent Book. Then, we had a yummy breakfast and opened gifts.

The stockings weren't hung at our house on Christmas Eve...they were too heavy!

Brooklyn loved her big Santa gift. A pink Radio Flyer scooter. And helmet. Now, she just needs to learn how to ride it without falling off!

She had to try on her new sticker earrings. :)

The ladybug constellation nightlight was a big hit!

And, of course, there were dolls...

and a dress-up gown to match.

We spent some time over at Scot's parents. We had an Italian dinner {homemade pizzas and lasagna} and opened gifts.

My favorite were the matching aprons Grammy made for the girls. So cute!

We celebrated Christmas with my family in Ohio all last week and had a great time. (I wish I had taken a few pictures, but oh well.) Jake finally had his chance to open gifts the night we got back from Ohio. Even before we unpacked the van!

He was lit up when he opened The Force Unleashed Wii game. With lightsabers!

More Star Wars stuff...

And he loved Santa's big gift. The Navarone playset, circa 1982. (Yes, Santa shops on ebay too!)

I don't think we'll be seeing these guys anytime soon...there are wars and battles to be fought!

Even though we had to do things a little differently this year, it was a wonderful Christmas. Many happy times were had by all.
