Family Vacation {2010}

The kids opened their special gifts from Dad before we left home - a Nintendo DS game for Jake and a Little Mermaid doll for Brooklyn.

Our hotel in Gatlinburg was really nice. We loved the gas fireplace, balcony and outdoor pool.

The view of the Smoky Mountains was just breathtaking.

We ate lunch at the Smoky Mountain Brewery. They had killer beer and the mac-n-cheese was to-die-for.

We went to The Hollywood Wax Museum. The wax figures looked so real that it spooked the kids. But, we had fun anyway.

We watched a live magic show.

We ate lunch at our favorite place - New Orleans Sandwich Co. As a tradition, we decorated our dollar bill and hung it on their wall.

We strolled along the streets of Gatlinburg on a rainy day.

We played putt-putt in the jungle with Indiana Jones at Treasure Quest. (We didn't keep score, but I totally whooped Scot's butt.)

We played around at Wonder Works, a huge children's museum and indoor amusement park. It was crowded, but we had a blast.

 We went to the indoor waterpark at Wild Bear Falls.

We ate dinner at the famous Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

We drove go-karts, bumper boats and rode rides at The Track. (And, yes, I got soaked. Jake got me good.)

We did some exploring.

We swam in the hotel pool and lazy river at night.

Sleeping in. Staying up late. Fudge. Candy sticks. Ice cream. Yummy food. No computers. No cell phones. Fun times together. Just the four of us.

I love vacation. Don't you?
