The last couple of days have been busy but fun. We've had Jacob's best bud, Michael, stay with us, and they have had a blast.
We went swimming at the coolest YMCA pool ever.
(Big props to Land's End for my new suit, by the way. Anything that makes my thunder thighs and cellulite look decent while still looking stylish deserves some sort of big medal in my book. I heart Land's End.)
We had chicken nuggets and fries for dinner. And hot fudge ice cream cake for dessert. Healthy, I know.
The boys played with Legos and played video games. They stayed up late and watched movies.
They crashed hard. See?
We went to see the free family movie Hotel for Dogs at the theater. It was cute. Even Brooklyn enjoyed her first movie.
We got some grub at Sonic and had a picnic lunch at the park.
It was a beautiful day.
The boys played war and hid behind huge rocks, while using sticks for their weapons.
Then, we hit the playground.
We attempted to do water balloons at home, but the balloons I bought didn't work so well. We went to Target and the fireworks store instead. The boys picked out pizzas for dinner. We played outside and waited for it to get dark.
The boys (and Scot) played with fireworks in the street. Brooklyn and I just watched.
Michael is going home this morning and the kids are off to Grammy and Papa's today to spend the night. Scot and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary tonight. Without kids.
It's going to be grand.
