We drove downtown, found a parking spot for $4, met up with friends and set up camp at our favorite spot - the courthouse lawn. We come here every year. We packed egg salad sandwiches, chips, grapes, cookies, drinks, chairs, blankets and games. You name it, we packed it.
The kids played in the fountains after dinner. Jake's personal favorite.
Brooklyn didn't realize the fountains shot up in the air at random times so, unfortunately, she had to learn the hard way. It wasn't pretty.
And that was the end of that, poor thing.
She had fun playing in the little wading pools with Jake, though.
It probably wasn't the cleanest water ever, but these kids were in heaven so we let them have fun.
We passed out glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark bracelets for the kids. They were a hit.
And we waited for the fireworks to begin. Scot's parents hooked up with us too.
The fireworks were just beautiful.
Another Fourth of July we'll never forget. Hope yours was memorable too!
