Scot found out the results from his sleep study test a couple weeks ago.
When he slept on his back, he stopped breathing 90 times per hour and had 22 leg kicks per hour. When he slept on his side, he stopped breathing 44 times per hour and had 22 leg kicks per hour.
Since he usually sleeps on his back most of the time, he is waking up a total of 112 times every hour. So, in other words, Scot is a walking zombie.
They told Scot to buy a CPAP machine and start using it this week. (We're contacting our insurance company to see if they will help out with some of it). Then, they will do another sleep study 3 months after his surgery to see if the CPAP is needed long-term.
I just pray the CPAP mask and machine doesn't take too long to get used to.
