We had a great Memorial Day weekend.
Here are some random highlights...
We had a garage sale on Saturday morning (very early!) and sold lots of stuff we don't use anymore. It was a great success! (Kudos to my hubby for doing ALL the work!!!)
Jake had his best friend, Michael, spend the night on Saturday. They played outside and inside, played Xbox, watched Star Wars, ate popcorn and ice cream, and stayed up late. You know, boy stuff. Lots of fun.
Brooklyn peed on the potty for the first time! YAY, Brookie - way to go!!!! (Thank God for the Elmo potty seat!) It probably was a fluke since she hasn't been interested since, but we are so proud of her nonetheless.
We bought Jake a new bike as an early birthday gift. He loves it. Can't believe he rides a 20-incher now!
Yesterday, Jake and our neighbor, Jordan, played on the slip-n-slide while Brooklyn had fun splashin' around in her baby pool. Summer is here! YES!!
I'm thankful for all the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives to serve and protect our country and give us the freedoms we have today. Unfortunately, we often take that for granted.
