We went on a trip to Gatlinburg with our friends, Jason and Crystal, over the weekend. We left on Thursday evening and got to the Bluegreen Resort in Pigeon Forge around 11:00 that night. Thankfully, we were able to put the kids straight to bed once we checked in and unloaded everything in our apartment.
On Friday morning, we met up with Jason and Crystal and their kids at the RainForest Adventures in Sevierville. The kids loved this indoor zoo - especially the exotic birds. They have over 400 live animals and creatures from the rain forests around the world. Here are a few pics...
We even saw a live show where we could pet a parrot, snake, porcupine, pig and some other animals.
Hunter and I were called out as "volunteers" for one part and we both held a tarantula IN OUR HANDS!! (I was sweating bullets!!!) I cannot believe I was brave enough to do that one! My face explains it all...
The rest of the afternoon was spent at Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg. There was so much to see there.
We finished off the day with some sightseeing and shopping in Gatlinburg.
What a fun day!
