On Monday, we celebrated Scot's 36th Birthday. Happy Birthday, babe! It wasn't the best birthday for him this year, but I'm determined to make it better next year.
On Tuesday night, Brooklyn surprised us and started crawling for the first time. I can't believe how fast our baby girl is growing. And, by Wednesday morning, she was standing in her crib. What a big girl.
On Friday, we celebrated Jacob's 6th Birthday. We let him choose to either have a big party with friends or he could have two friends spend the night. He opted for the sleepover. Parker (our neighbor) and Tyler (Jake's buddy from preschool) came over around 4:30pm and Kenji (our other neighbor) came over too. Jake requested Sir Pizza (since that's his fav and all).
The boys enjoyed a good ol' fashioned Star Wars battle outside after dinner. Then, they came inside and decorated visors and made their own bouncy balls. The bouncy balls were a hit! It was interesting to see all their little creations. They iced and decorated cupcakes for dessert. Yum! The boys watched Arthur and the Invisibles with popcorn and slept in the den. Well...they didn't actually go to sleep until after midnight but they eventually went to sleep. We figured this is a once-a-year kind of thing, so what the heck? But, they were wired and ready to go by 6:30am the next day!
It may have been wild and crazy but it was a really fun birthday for all.
